Extending tactile literacy beyond braille

John Slade’s colour-coded shape pegs and peg boards have already helped visually impaired children across the country take part more fully in lessons and enjoy more social interaction with their peers. Here he shares his plans to extend his colour coding system to further increase inclusion in all aspects of the curriculum through an interactive maths teaching aid.
