This study by the eLearning Innovation Center (eLinC) and Accenture has identified key trends in digital content consumption among young people.

The study found that 70% of people aged 14 to 35 primarily use mobile phones for reading digital content, and that attention span has decreased from 12 to 8.2 seconds in 15 years.

The study identified that digital content plays a central role in young people's lives, with a clear trend towards monetisation and virtualisation.

One-third of young people aspire to be influencers, and one in five believe they could become professional gamers. However, the study also highlighted the negative impact of digital overexposure on mental health, with 20% of young people experiencing symptoms of insomnia, 40% using online platforms to cope with loneliness, and 81% suffering from nomophobia (fear of being without their mobile phone).
