Planning For A Human Influenza Pandemic

Now that the Swine Flu virus is established in the community, expert advice is that there is no longer a strong case for closing schools to contain the spread of infection. However, the UK Health Departments have published a framework for how the Government should respond during an influenza pandemic. This DfES report provides emergency planning guidance for schools and recommends that all schools work closely with their local authority in dealing with the pandemic.
