Standards & Quality In English Primary Schools Over Time
This is one of a series of 32 interim reports from the Primary Review, an independent enquiry into the condition and future of primary education in England. The report shows that the money spent attempting to raise the standard of English in primary schools has had almost no impact on children’s reading skills, and that standards of attainment in reading in English primary schools have been more or less static since the 1950s.
