Further Education: Social Mobility, Skills and Second Chances
This new research by Education Datalab, carried out over the last five years, overturns the existing evidence on the value of FE learning and shows how important it is for social mobility. FE is likely to suffer severe cuts in the forthcoming spending review which will have the biggest impact on the most disadvantaged in society, and is likely to have a negative impact on widening participation in HE.
