Safeguarding in schools: a serious case for review

When a primary teacher in North Somerset pleaded guilty to 36 sexual offences, gaping holes were found in the safeguarding processes of a school that had been deemed ‘excellent’ by Ofsted. John Stead of the NSPCC reports on what all schools need to learn from this case.
