This research by the London School of Economics, funded by the Nuffield Foundation, revisits the contested issue of ethnic minority access to higher education. It asks: are candidates from black and minority ethnic groups less inclined to apply to higher status institutions than white British candidates? And are candidates from black and minority ethnic groups less likely to receive offers from university than white British applicants?
