Readiness For Additional Learning Needs Reforms

This Estyn report examines the extent to which maintained primary and secondary schools, pupil referral units (PRUs), and education otherwise than at school (EOTAS) settings are preparing to meet the demands of the new Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018. The findings of the report are based on a wide range of school inspection evidence and includes case studies for local authorities and schools to consider.

The Act replaces legislation around special educational needs (SEN) and the assessment of children and young people with learning difficulties and/or disabilities (LDD) in post-16 education and training.
