Child File: The governments guide to behaviour

In this issue of ECU we have included a report about the government’s approach to behaviour. In this issue of ChildFile we explore in more detail the material and information included in their guidance. We also incorporate their advice about dealing with bullying and provide an example of an anti-bullying policy. It should be noted that these government materials are still in the consultation stage and the final versions will be published in July 2011. The guidance will need to be reviewed and amended once the Education Bill has passed through Parliament. Child file materials: Guidance for your behaviour policy; Teachers’ powers; Guidance for governors; Advice for school leaders and governing bodies on bullying; Anti-bullying policy example.
