This report by Promethean gathered the opinions of over 2,000 educators during lockdown, to find out which strategies and technologies schools relied on and how COVID-19 will impact the future of learning. It gives a full overview of the uses of tech in schools.

In 2020 students were sent home to learn and teachers across the country faced educating remotely, using technology that had not been utilized in schools on such scale before.

The importance of the use of technology in schools for our children’s education and learning has been highlighted by the pandemic. Technology is a large part of our daily lives and society and has increasingly become even more important during the year of lockdown.

By gathering the opinions of over 2,000 educators during lockdown, the report found out which strategies and technologies schools relied on and how COVID-19 will impact the future of learning.

The report concludes that there needs to be more training widely available for teachers to ensure they are able to utilise fully the technology that is available. Investments in updated tech in classrooms are also important to ensure children’s education has the best chance of growth after such a loss of time in schools.
