Mathematics: made to measure
The latest report from OFSTED on maths education in primary and secondary schools, “Mathematics: made to measure”, was published in May 2012. The report was based on 1 day inspections of mathematics at 160 primary schools and 2 day inspections at 160 secondary schools from the start of 2008 through to July 2011. The report also included findings from a smaller number of “good practice visits”. Here, we look at the salient points of the report and what actually works when it comes to using technology.
