Education and Inspections Act 2006
The provisions of the Education and Inspections Act 2006 relating to School Organisation have now come into force. Schools may now publish proposals under the Act to become Trust Schools. In addition the EIA 2006 requires local authorities to promote diversity and increase parental choice in planning schools, and to respond formally to parents seeking changes to the provision of schools in their area.
