Could removing AS Levels be a major mistake?

Michael Gove’s January announcement of extensive changes to A Levels received an unenthusiastic reception, and no wonder. By separating AS Levels from A Levels, the government risks undoing all the good that was achieved by the review in 2000 – and another exam results debacle, come 2015.
