Joan Deslandes OBE

Joan Deslandes OBE, is Headteacher at Kingsford Community School, a co-educational inner city Local Authority comprehensive in Newham.

Joan has three times been named as one of London’s 1000 most influential people in the Evening Standard and is amongst Debrett’s People of Today.  Ofsted has also described her leadership as ‘outstanding’ and that her ‘ambition to improve the life chances of students by raising teacher’s expectations and student’s aspirations and self-confidence is inspirational.’
