We're inviting tenders for this major new website revamp, please apply by the 04/10/2018.

Detailed Specification below:

1) Register and Login

1.1) Register • TT to create super-admin accounts including functionality to assign individual school / university users to the institution, with each teacher / lecturer using their own login to the website. Individual users can also be created without any associated accounts. • A HTML email will invite all users to the website.• Programmes used -  Teaching Times CRM

1.2) Login • The user will be able to login via email or single sign-on functionality. • Programmes used - Shibboleth, Facebook and LinkedIn

1.3) Subscriptions • The following information will be represented in a price / feature table similar to most software-as-a-service examples The user will define if they are an individual user, school or university. School users will select the size of their institution based on pupil numbers. University users will be directed to a sales number to discuss specific requirements over the phone / call-back option. The user will choose the number of topics they wish to follow and downloads per month on a tiered pricing system. When the individual user or school user has chosen the suitable 12 month package they’ll be redirected to a contact form to submit their request and a member of TT will arrange a pro-forma for payment. • Programmes used - Teaching Times CRM, Sendgrid

2) Home and Topics

2.1) Home View • The user will be able to browse the following products;

• 3.2) Articles

• 4.1) Knowledge banks

• 7.1) Shop items

• 6.1) Library

The above products will be segmented via 2.2) Topics, most recent and most relevant / trending. When the user has signed into their account the above products will be pre-populated based on 2.2) Topics the individual user has decided to follow. The user will be able to search via keyword;

• 3.2) Articles

• 4.1) Knowledge banks

• 7.1) Shop items

• 2.1) Topics

• 6.1) Library

Programmes used -  Algolia

2.2) Topics • When the user has signed into their account, for the first time, they will be able to define which Topics they are interested in. Topic choices will work in similar style to https://hbr.org/topics and will automatically feed to the individuals home page. The user will be able to update their Topic choices at any time through 9.1) My Account

3) Issues and Articles

3.1) Issues • A series of Issues (parent category) with individual 3.2) Articles (child category) assigned to them. Issue template design to include;

• Issue

• Title

• Image

• Topics (including filter)

• Number of Bookmarks

3.2) Articles • Each article view will to be assigned to a 3.1) Issue tagged to a single or multiple 2.2) Topics Majority of articles will be part-hidden until sign-up / sign-in unlocks the hidden content. A small selection of supplementary free content / articles will be available in addition to locked content. ach article guides the user to related 4.1) Knowledge banks Article template design to include;

• Copy

• Share via, link social media and email

• Commenting function

5) Training Courses

5.1) Training Courses • A series of Training Courses (parent category) with individual courses (child category) tagged to a single or multiple 2.2) Topics Individual training courses will be provided by a third party website https://learnhownow.com/ Payment for Individual training courses will be paid for via Learnhownow. Programmes Used - Teaching Times CRM

6) Library

6.1) Library • Archive of old PDF articles available to download Each PDF article view will be tagged to a single or multiple 2.2) Topics PDF articles will be included within the users subscription access

8.1) Basket • When a user purchases one of the following they’ll be redirected to the basket to complete their order and make online payment via Sage Pay;

9) My Account

9.1) Super admin • Super-admin accounts include functionality to create, review, updated and delete individual school / university users to the institution. Super-admin accounts include functionality to review individual school / university users activity, topics, download history and orders. Super-admin accounts include functionality to change name, email, login credentials.

9.2) Regular users • Regular accounts include functionality to review, update and delete Bookmarked articles Regular accounts include functionality to access purchased items such as downloads Regular accounts include functionality to review order history Regular accounts include functionality to change name, email, login credentials.

10) QC and Testing

10.1) QC • Development standards and compliance. Website browser testing; IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Device testing; Desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Mobile

10.2) Server setup • Website server setup. Transfer of existing PDF library to new website

10.3) Handover • Website CMS training and handover
