Teenage Pregnancy – Next Steps is a 68–page guidance document from the DfES, providing information on good practice, to enable local areas to take action in order to halve the under–18 conception rate by 2010. It outlines the rationale for the teenage pregnancy strategy, makes the financial case for investing in measures to address the issue, presents evidence of which young women get pregnant, and explains the underlying factors that affect young people’s sexual behaviour.
