Statutory Guidance on Schools Causing Concern

The new statutory guidance for Schools Causing Concern supports schools and local authorities to ensure effective and early action is taken to improve weak and failing schools by interpreting the powers and duties provided by Part 4 of the Education and Inspections Act 2006. It makes clear to both local authorities and schools that the Government will not tolerate schools being allowed to slide into failure or drift into mediocrity. Note: Summary only
