Children’s Participation in Organised Sport

Nearly one in four children do not take part in any organised sport according to a Mori poll commissioned by the DCSF. This is despite a government campaign launched two years ago to get pupils to do up to five hours of sport each week, including two hours within the curriculum, and three hours for young people aged 16 to 19.
