Special measures to outstanding – the pathway to success
‘Truly comprehensive’ is
the phrase headteacher
Tony Ryan, uses to
describe Chiswick School.
While he is proud of the
diversity of the intake,
when he arrived at the
school it was judged
satisfactory by Ofsted and
not so long before had
narrowly avoided slipping into special measures.
Today it is assessed to be good and on its way to
being classed as ‘outstanding’ with a dynamic
outward looking learning community. Tony Ryan
explains how this has been achieved.
