Safeguarding Children In A Digital World

The Byron Review assesses the risks to children of potentially harmful or inappropriate material on the internet and in video games. Adults instinctively know how to protect their children offline. However the assumption that children's greater technological expertise will ensure they can look after themselves online is unsafe, as knowledge is not the same as wisdom. This review seeks to preserve children's right to take the risks that form an inherent part of their development by enabling them to surf the net in a safe and informed way.
