Safe Steps CSE Innovation Project
This DfE evaluation of the Safe Steps project examines community-based children’s homes, as an alternative to placing girls in secure care. It looks at how the project helps support young women experiencing, or at risk of, sexual exploitation. It also discusses how concerns about their safety can lead to placement in secure children’s homes or homes far from their own area.
