Pupil Absence In Schools In England, Autumn Term 2012 And Spring Term 2013

This Statistical First Release by the Department for Education reports on absence in state-funded primary and state-funded secondary schools during autumn term 2012 and spring term 2013, including information on absence by reason and by pupil characteristics. It shows that 335,510 children were off school in England each day – equivalent to 5.3 per cent of the pupil population – over a seven month period. Leadership Briefing issue (8.03)
