Public Expenditure – First Report of Session 2008–09

Economic problems could undermine investment in education and related services and prevent the government from achieving its objectives, finds a new report by the Children, Schools and Families Committee on departmental public expenditure. England's £45 billion school building programme could also be hit as private firms become less willing to invest, and the private sector struggles to obtain credit.
