Launching A STEAM Revolution In Africa At Kent College, Cairo

After the uprising in Egypt in 2011 there has been a marked demand for higher quality, western-style education. Alongside this there has been a demand for innovative, flexible school design. Shadi Abd Elsalam reports

Preparing children for life in the 21st century requires not just an evolution in what they are taught but also how they learn.

Research shows that in the coming years it will be attributes like creativity and problem solving that are valued most by employers, and schools are having to respond accordingly.

Most recently we have seen a significant pedagogical shift towards flipped learning where pupils understand content through different types of learning, leading to a much more fluid interpretation of the traditional classroom and a design approach that integrates learning throughout the school environment.
