Decolonising the curriculum

Colonalism happens when a powerful country dominates another country - perhaps by martial law, slavery, economic exploitation - and imposes its values, rules and history. The British Empire has a long and ocmplex narrative. Decolonising the curriculum is about making sure that the legacy of colonialism that we teach is not just from a white European perspective. We need to look at the past from other points of view if we are to avoid turning history into propaganda.
