This is the Final Report of the Review of Mathematics Teaching in Early Years Settings and Primary Schools, outlining the main recommendations of the Williams review of mathematics teaching in early years settings and primary schools. It makes a series of recommendations, supported by evidence, regarding educational best practice to enable young learners in primary schools and early years’ settings to acquire an understanding and appreciation of mathematics and of its importance to their lives.
