How does place affect education?

This is a short paper by Ruth Lupton of the Institute for Public Policy Research, looking at the impact of location and community on education. It explores the impact of neighbourhood on individuals and the motivations and opportunities to learn when taken in the context of the local labour market, other peoples’ attitude and local resources. It also considers the impact of schools as neighbourhood resources. Update Note: The full report is no longer available
