Social Networking more Important Than Family

Many of the children in the UK found technology and social networking more important than other aspects of life, including their family, according to a new poll of eight to 15-year-olds for National Family Week. It found 40% of girls identified Facebook as one of the most important things in their lives - compared with 6% of boys. The study, which surveyed 3,000 parents and 1,000 children across the UK, reveals parents overestimate the role they play in their child's life. Leadership Briefing Issue 5.02 (50)
