Using Evidence in the Classroom: What Works and Why?

This research by the National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) looks at effective approaches to the creation of a more evidence-informed teaching profession. It draw together recent UK evidence, identifies factors that enable effective use of evidence within schools; discusses ways in which evidence is being produced and used in practice; and analyses evaluations of the effectiveness of different approaches to evidence use.
