Effective Pre-School and Primary Education

The EPPE 3-11 Project has been tracing the development of 2500 children from age 3 to age 11 to determine the impact of the education system on pupils’ progress and development. This DfES report focuses on relationships between child, family, home, pre-school and primary school characteristics and children’s academic attainment in Year 5.
