Detoxifying School Accountability

In his Demos report 'Detoxifying School Accountability,' James Park seeks to grapple with the fundamental issues of assessment and accountability in education, arguing that current measures are detrimental to the development and learning of children and young people. He makes the case that assessment in schools should be centred around qualification choice and that inspection should be a more inclusive process involving parents, teachers, students and inspectors themselves, with the aim of increasing accountability for all stakeholders.
