Charities and Public Benefit

The Charity Commission has announced that independent schools must prove their ‘public benefit’ if they are to retain charitable tax breaks worth about £100 million a year. This is the Charity Commission's statutory guidance on what charity trustees should consider in order to show that their charity's aims are for the public benefit.
