All Change On Academies – The Government’s Education Plans Revised

The government announced last year that they have effectively abandoned its ‘Education for All’ Bill, unveiled in the Queen’s Speech on 18 May. To those who have been keeping a close eye on it however, its demise is not particularly surprising – it was more a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’.
