We are supporting the 100 Million Minutes Reading Challenge – a national initiative from Achievement for All that will engage children and young people with reading.

Together with schools, colleges, early years settings, parents, carers, child minders and other community groups across the UK, children and young people will have just one week to read for a collective 100 million minutes!

Why? 10 minutes of reading a day can have a huge impact on a child and young person's development, so imagine what 100 million minutes can achieve.

The challenge will kick off on World Book Day (Thursday 1st March 2018) and be filled with inclusive events, celebrations and prizes designed to bring books to life. All reading counts towards a registered setting's total, so children and young people can read anything from picture books to novels, and read alone, in pairs, or in groups with an adult. When you sign up to the challenge, you will get access to packs filled with ideas and materials to inspire children of all ages with reading across the week.
