Are Schools Drifting Apart?

Intake Stratification in English Secondary schools. Expansion of school choice is a central theme in current debates on educational policy. While proponents argue that choice leads to benefits in attainment through increased competition others worry that it may lead to increased stratification of schools and rising inequality in educational provision and child outcomes. This project aims to evaluate changes over time in the extent of stratification.
