Technology in FE Survey Report

This new report by City & Guilds reveals that 80% of FE tutors believe that technology has the power to positively impact teaching and learning (four out of five) and two thirds (66%) think technology improves it. However, the research also finds that professionals are being held back from making the most of new resources due to a lack of investment, uncertainty about the technology and limited opportunities for access and experimentation. This DfE report forms part of the national Evaluation of Children’s Centres in England (ECCE) research study, and focuses on the 30% most disadvantaged areas in England. The evaluation as a whole studies the management, organisation and programmes offered in the centres; it includes a longitudinal study of families and children who used these children’s centres, and a cost-benefit analysis of the programme.
