Not the end? A new approach to school exclusions

Currently, local authorities source alternative provision for expelled pupils, but a recent DfE-backed trial gave schools the power (and the funding) to ensure the pupils they exclude continue to receive a decent education. Here the trial’s lead investigators, Susan Hallam and Dr Lynne Rogers, share their findings.
