Consultation on New A Level Regulatory Requirements
This Ofqual consultation recommends a series of sweeping changes to A-levels to address the concern that large numbers of students start university under-prepared for the demands of a degree course. It recommended the abolition of coursework in most subjects and the scrapping of first-year AS-level exams in their current form - including how A-levels and to the AS qualification are designed, assessed and regulated.
