ISG secures primary school upgrade projects
ISG has secured a further three primary school upgrade projects as part of its framework partnership with Manchester City Council.
The schemes at Broadhurst Primary School in Moston, Newall Green Primary School in Wythenshawe and Camberwell Park School in Blackley, form part of the government’s £7 billion Primary Capital Programme, which aims to improve and modernise school facilities across England.
The re-roofing works will be carried out whilst the school remains fully operational, with ISG carefully scheduling the programme to minimise disruption to both staff and pupils. The roof will be carefully stripped, high performance insulation installed and a new dual layer membrane covering applied, with the project scheduled for completion in July.
At Broadhurst Primary School, ISG will also upgrade the existing roof – applying a new polymer membrane system and refurbishing gutters and fascias over a seven week programme. At the specialist Camberwell Park School, the contractor will undertake a 12-week programme to upgrade and improve the thermal efficiency of the building, which will include the replacement of existing windows and doors.
